Lindsey's Musical Journey!!

Lindsey's LOVE is Music & Song, and she has been singing her whole life!

In Lindsey's toddler years, she sang along with Barney and The Wiggles! By the time she was in third grade, Lindsey was performing in elementary and community music theater productions. This was also the time she started playing the violin, knowing it was an instrument keyed for her soprano range voice. Lindsey began voice lessons in 8th grade, where her passion for song only swelled. Before her freshman year, Lindsey auditioned and made the "varsity high school choir", the Troubadour's. As a part of the Troubadour choir, she has performed in many concerts.

For the 2012 year, she and the Troubadours, ranked "Superior", the highest ranking, for Coeur d' Alene Large Group. As a freshman in high school, Lindsey discovered the world of solo competitions! She went on to sing for the IMEA, where she placed 1st in District and 4th in State, in the Mezzo Soprano range. For the 2012 summer, Lindsey was excepted into the "Julian Patrick Summer Workshop for Gifted High School Singers" , based off an audition and choral experience. She learned many different vocal techniques at the camp, while making new friends and gaining more experience.

Sophomore 2012-2013, Lindsey began studying voice, under the direction of Andrea Dawson at Northern Idaho College. In February,  Lindsey was excepted into the 2013 All Northwest Division Conference. She competed with other vocalists in all of the Northwest states. Lindsey had to make an audition recording and send in to the judges, of which she qualified. She was able to go to Portland, Oregon and perform with the other accepted students, at the Oregon Convention center. June 2013, Lindsey had the opportunity to attend the University of Montana Music Camp. She stayed in the UM dorms, while working with Cody David, in the UM Performing Arts Center.

Junior 2013-2014 year, Lindsey started the year with All-State tryouts, where she competed against other vocalists in the whole state of Idaho. She was excepted, and attended the All-State Honors Group, in Boise, Idaho. She also tried out for a singing part in the school musical production of "Cats", where she made the part of Grizabella, the Glamour Cat. She performed the singing part of "Memory". Lindsey competed in the IMEA District competition and placed in the top 3, for the Mezzo-Soprano division. This also qualified her state, where she competed in Boise, Idaho, medaled as a 4th place Finalist, and became the top 1% of the best Mezzo-Soprano singers in the state!

Senior 2014-2015 year, both All-State and All-Northwest tryouts took place. Lindsey made All-Northwest, the harder of the two to get in to, because you are competing against all the northwest states versus just those within your state. She attended the 2015 All Northwest Division Conference in Spokane, WA. Lindsey also competed in the IMEA District competition and came in 2nd place. This qualified her to compete for state, in Pocatello, Idaho; where she medaled and took 1st place, making Lindsey the best of the Mezzo-Soprano singers in the state!! She also was featured in the local paper, the CDA Press for her outstanding achievements!

Lindsey ends her high school years successfully!! She graduated with Musical Honors from NAfME Tri-M Music Honor Society. Lindsey was a part of the PFHS varsity choir, the Toubadors, and took part in music service projects; therefore she lettered all 4 years, which is very rare, especially for a female. We are very proud of Lindsey and look forward to her continuing her musical journey throughout her college years!!
